Uromi – The Edealo family of Uromi, Edo State, has been thrust into the spotlight following a grave allegation by Edealo Johnson, who claims his cousin, Edealo Kingsley, murdered his father, Edealo Addison. The accusation has sent shockwaves throughout the community as the case takes a dire turn.

The Edealo Addison was reportedly slain on February 5, 2013 on his own farmland, an act that has pierced the heart of the Edealo lineage and disrupted the family’s harmony.

At the center of the conflict is a bitter dispute over the family’s ancestral estate. After the death of Johnson’s uncle—Kingsley’s father—the question of who would inherit the family home became a source of intense friction. Despite Edealo Addison’s requests for Kingsley to leave the property, his entreaties were ignored.

Johnson has detailed several attempts to amicably settle the disagreement, but Kingsley’s continued presence in the house led to increasing hostility. The tension reached a tragic climax when Kingsley allegedly engaged in a deadly altercation with Johnson’s father on the land where they once worked side by side.

The police have acted promptly, embarking on a comprehensive investigation. However, all efforts to detain Kingsley have been unsuccessful, and he is now a fugitive from justice.

Inspector Effiong Umanah is leading the search and has issued a public plea for help. The law enforcement community is urging anyone with knowledge that could lead to Kingsley’s arrest to step forward without delay.
