Etsako Central Local Government Area SMC/Task force meeting held October 17, 2024, at the council chambers to review the achievements and challenges encountered in the previous Human Papillomavirus Vaccination (HPVV) programme. The meeting also delved into the professional methods of administering the measles vaccine Supplementary Immunization Activity (SIA), which kicked off at the weekend at the 10 wards of the LGA
Hon. Solomon Obomighie, the Executive Chairman of Etsako Central LGA, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering dedication and hard work put forth to guarantee the success of the forthcoming measles vaccination programme (SIA).
Dr. Godwin Ogamune, the medical officer of Etsako Central, stressed the importance for residents of Etsako Central to actively participate with their families in the measles immunization programme, highlighting that those who avoid immunization not only put themselves at risk but also pose a threat to those who have received the vaccine.
The meeting held Thursday saw the presence of key health sector personnel, top executives from the local government area, traditional leaders, clergy members, and representatives from security agencies.

In a similar vein, Dr. Ogamune shared insights during the meeting concerning the effective administration and distribution of the measles vaccine to ensure its maximum impact within the community.
