As part of efforts to ensure a conducive learning environment, the Chairman, Owan East Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. Aruna Muhammed, has donated some set of chairs to Ivbiaro Secondary School.
The donation which is in fulfillment of an earlier promise to that effect, a gesture designed to fill the deficit created by the absence of sufficient seats for the senior students ahead of their terminal examination.
According to Elabor Shafiri, Chief Press Secretary to the Local Government Chairman, the gesture demonstrates Rt. Hon. Aruna Muhammed’s dedication to supporting education and improving the learning environment for students across the council area.
“The donation will significantly enhance the school’s infrastructure, providing a more comfortable and conducive environment for learning.
“We appreciate the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his leadership and commitment to the state’s progress and support for this project which made it to be a huge success.
“This donation is a testament to the commitment and resolve by both leaders to contribute to the educational advancement of Ivbiaro community in particular and Owan East Local Government Area, generally”.
Meanwhile, jubilant students and people of Ivbiaro have pawed encomium on the local government chairman for his magnanimity and commitment to community development.
They appreciated the Chairman’s efforts at rescuing the school from the challenge of inadequate seats for students, just as they look forward for a sustained partnership in the overall development of Ivbiaro.
Recall that the council boss had a few months back promised to provide some sixty-five seats for the school ahead of the ongoing WAEC examination following a request to that effect from the school’s management and the elites of Ivbiaro.
