The Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has formally inducted the 18th Batch (Set B) of newly qualified Medical Doctors into the medical profession, marking a significant academic and professional milestone for the graduating cohort.

The swearing-in and oath-taking ceremony, held at the university’s Conference Hall, drew dignitaries from government, academia, and the medical field, as well as family members and friends of the inductees.

In attendance was the Edo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole, who congratulated the new doctors on their achievement.

He lauded their perseverance and dedication throughout their medical training and assured them of the government’s continued commitment to building a robust and supportive healthcare environment where young doctors can thrive and contribute meaningfully.

Also speaking at the event, the Acting Vice Chancellor of AAU, Professor Olowo Samuel, expressed satisfaction with the College of Medicine’s resurgence, noting that the university had regained its place in the academic spotlight.

He acknowledged the unwavering support of the Edo State Governor, whose interventions, he said, had been vital to the university’s progress and stability over the years.

The highlight of the event was the official induction conducted by Dr. Abdul Enojor, Deputy Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

He administered the oath of practice and formally presented certificates to the new doctors, officially recognising them as qualified medical professionals.

Representing the inductees, Mohammed Bawa Mohammed extended heartfelt gratitude to the Edo State Government, the university’s leadership, faculty members, and their families.
