LAGOS — In a bid to reverse declining subscription numbers and enhance customer satisfaction, MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a 50 per cent reduction in the price of its DStv decoder, bringing the cost down from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000.

The offer, which forms part of the company’s new “We Got You” campaign, was announced by the Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, who said the initiative is designed to reward customer loyalty and provide greater value to subscribers.

“We want to ensure our customers feel appreciated and have access to the best entertainment every day,” Ugbe said in a statement.

“The ‘We Got You’ campaign is about making premium content more accessible and showing that DStv offers something for everyone, not just football fans.”

According to the company, DStv is repositioning itself as a platform for daily value, aiming to encourage audiences to explore a broader array of content beyond sports, including movies, drama, children’s programming, and news.

“This means more channels, more shows, and more reasons to tune in every day,” Ugbe added.

In addition to the decoder price cut, MultiChoice announced a promotional package upgrade offer valid between June 16 and July 31, 2025.

During this period, subscribers who renew their current subscription in full will be automatically upgraded to the next higher package tier at no additional cost.

The offer is part of MultiChoice’s broader strategy to retain existing customers, attract new ones, and deepen engagement with its diverse entertainment offerings across Nigeria.
