Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has promised that Inikorogha community in Ovia South-West Local Government Area will enjoy long-overdue federal projects if the All Progressives Congress (APC) wins the forthcoming Ovia Federal Constituency by-election.
Speaking during a campaign stop in the riverine community on Tuesday, Idahosa said the APC candidate, Gabriella Omosede Igbinedion, was chosen after broad consultations for her experience, reliability, and ability to attract federal interventions, adding, “Inikorogha has been neglected for too long.”
“With Gabriella at the National Assembly and me in the state government, we will ensure this community gets the attention it deserves. When you send someone on an errand, you send someone who can deliver, Gabriella will deliver.”
The deputy governor accused the previous administration of abandoning the community, alleging that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) forced out a key development benefactor, Don Okubo Robert, without leaving any meaningful projects behind.
Igbinedion, visiting the community for the first time, described the trip as special because Idahosa personally led her through every ward.
She assured residents that she would prioritise infrastructure, education, and health facilities if elected.
Community leaders, including Robert and local lawyer Hon. Barr. David Kalayolo, lauded the team for navigating the difficult terrain to reach Inikorogha, pledging to deliver overwhelming votes for the APC.
The campaign train later proceeded to Ora Ward, joined by APC leaders Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, Matthew Uroghide, Hon. Sunday Aghedo, Hon. Andrew Uzamere, and traditional rulers, to mobilise wider grassroots support.
