BENIN CITY – Governor Monday Okpebholo will on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, swear in newly appointed commissioners-designate and inaugurate the chairmen and members of key state commissions in Edo.

The ceremony, scheduled to hold at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City, will begin at 11:00 a.m., with all invited guests expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m.

According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, the event will feature the inauguration of the Audit Service Commission, Law Reform Commission, Lottery Regulatory Commission, and Ecological Funding and Management Commission.

Also to be inaugurated is the Governing Board of the Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency.

Meanwhile, Governor Okpebholo has approved the reconstitution of the Edo State Judicial Service Commission with the Chief Judge of Edo State as Chairman.

Other members include the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Fred Oamen Idiake, Razak Osayiande Isenalumhe, Eweka Imagbovomwan Esther, and Shuaibu Elamah.

The statement added that the non-statutory members of the Judicial Service Commission have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
