ABUJA: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed October 22 to 26 for the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Anambra State.
The Commission said the exercise was for voters who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
INEC’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi, made this known in a statement in Abuja.
She advised registered voters to visit their registration areas to collect their PVCs personally, as collection by proxy would not be allowed.
Eta-Messi said a mock accreditation exercise would hold on October 25 in selected polling units across the three senatorial districts.
She explained that the test would help the Commission assess the upgraded BVAS machines and result-upload process ahead of the November 8 governorship election.
Eta-Messi urged voters in affected polling units to participate actively, assuring that INEC remained committed to transparency and efficiency.
