President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged greater inclusion of young people and women in political leadership and governance, describing them as central to Nigeria’s future.
Speaking at the convention of the All Progressives Congress, Tinubu said youths must be empowered not merely as supporters but as active decision makers within the party.
“You are not only the future of Nigeria, you are our hope,” he told young Nigerians, highlighting their role in driving innovation and national development.
He also emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for women, noting that any political party that sidelines women weakens its own capacity.
According to the President, the APC will take deliberate steps to ensure more women occupy leadership positions within party structures and government.
The remarks shows a strategic push by the ruling party to broaden its appeal among key demographics ahead of future elections.
