The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has been informed of the emergence of Engr. Mohammed Sharu as the new chairman of the Niger State Volleyball Association.
This was conveyed in a letter from the Niger State Sports Commission, addressed to NVBF President, Engineer Musa Nimrod, sighted by sports reporters on Monday June 15, 2026.
“I write on the directive of the Chairman, Hon. Amb. Danjuma Abdul Masu, Niger State Sports
Commission to introduce Engr. Mohammed Sharu following his recent -election as the
Chairman of the Niger State Volleyball Association.
“This election is a direct result of his unwavering dedication, leadership, and outstanding
contributions to the growth and development of volleyball within Niger State,” the letter, signed by
Secretary, Niger State Sport Commission, Baba Sheshi informed.
It explained that under his
guidance, they  are confident that the state will continue to witness significant progress in
grassroots talent discovery, player development, and structural organization for the sport.
“As he begins this new tenure, we believe that his wealth of experience and passion will continue to elevate volleyball in our state,” the letter added.
Niger Sports Commission  therefore, looked  forward to a robust partnership  with the Nigeria Volleyball Federation under the leadership  of Engineer Nimrod.
“While thanking you for your continuous support and commitment to Nigerian volleyball, please accept the assurances of our esteemed sporting regards,” the letter, dated  10th June, 2026 comcluded.
