OKOGBO (ORHIONMWON)- Edo State Deputy Governor, (Dr.) Pius Egberanmwen Odubu said victory is certain for the All Progressives (APC) in the up-coming House of Assembly and National Assembly elections, especially in Orhionmwon Local Government Area.
Dr. Odubu made the remark when he and other party leaders sensitized party supporters on the need to vote the broom symbol on Saturday in Ugu, Evboesi, Ugboko and Ukpa Wards respectively.
Dr. Odubu explained that the APC is sure of victory in the National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections, having won the presidential election convincingly.
He challenged the electorate at Ugu, Evboesi, Ugboko and Ukpato wards to vote massively for the APC, assuring them that their support for the party will not go unrewarded.
At the palace of the Enogie of Ugu, HRA Aiwerioghene Aiyevbekpen through the palace spokesman, Chief Monday Okaeben thanked Dr. Odubu for the state government’s performance in Ugu ward and other parts of the Local Government Area.
The Deputy Governor assured that their appreciation by voting all APC candidates will motivate the governor to do more for them.
He solicited the traditional rulers support for the coming elections.
Party Chairman, Chief Matthew Ehigie encouraged the electorate at the various places visited to vote the broom symbol on Saturday.
Former minister of state for works, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi told the people that support for the APC on Saturday will free the state from opposition status which, retards development.
Council Chairman Chief Roland Ibierutomwen and other party chieftains were in attendance.
