Fulham have reached an agreement on personal terms with Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu over a contract until 2030, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The Premier League club will now turn their attention to negotiating a deal with Trabzonspor, who are reportedly demanding at least €30 million for the 22-year-old centre-back.
Nwaiwu joined the Turkish side from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC in January for around €6 million and quickly established himself as a regular in defence. He made 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist as Trabzonspor won the Turkish Cup and secured a third-place finish in the Süper Lig.
While Fulham have reportedly agreed terms with the Nigeria international, talks with Trabzonspor remain ongoing before any transfer can be completed.
