EKIADOLOR -Edo state government has promised to put an End to the problems faced by staff and students of College of Education now known as Tayo Akpata University, Ekiadolor.
Governor Adams Oshiomohle has assured the staff of the institution of his readiness to find a lasting solution to the crisis that has placed the institution in shambles this past few months and put an end to the strike embarked upon by the staffs of the institution four months ago.
The Governor who spoke through the Peace and Conflict Resolution committee Chaired by Retired General Charles Airhiavbere, today paid a visit to the College of Education Ekiadolor in an attempt to resolve the crisis, the General who pointed out that as his place of birth he decided to take it on himself  upon the love the Comrade Governor has towards the institution to call for a dialogue meeting between himself, the executives of various Union bodies of the institute and the lecturers so as to Appeal to them and  also  brainstorm together as to ascertain what will be done to proffer solutions to the situation.
The General who was received by all the executive of the professional Unions and the  staffs of the institution wasted no time in stating the reasons for such meeting, which he refers to as apolitical but strictly academic described the lecturers as the agent of development in any society as they are responsible for moulding children into better men and women, “I believe your profession is so unique as you are charged with the responsibility of training our children into becoming responsible youth and better adult, so your case are so dear to the Comrade Governor which was why he asked me to speak with you so we seek a lasting solution to all issues that will be discussed here today”.
Receiving the General, the Chairman Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union COEASU Comrade Fred Omonuwa commended the comrade Governor for choosing the person of General Charles Airhiavbere who is highly respected in the community the institutions resides and the trust they the  staff repose on the General judging from his background which was the reason they decided to attend the meeting as they believed that what was going to be discussed is nothing new from what has already been  discussed that they choose to come for such meeting because of the trust and respect they accord  the General, but  reiterates their stand that they be a paid their four months salary. The General  thanked them for a peaceful discussion and promised to work with the constituted committee of the institution  and take their grievances to the Comrade Governor so as to see to the resolving of the crisis faced by the institution.
The General Appealed to them that they should vote for All Progressives Congress candidates as there is need to alian with the Government at the center.
