Nigeria’s Flying Eagles head coach, Abdu Maikaba, has shifted his attention to the team’s next fixture following their impressive 4-2 victory over Ghana in the opening match of the WAFU B U20 Championship.
The Flying Eagles began their campaign in style with a commanding win over their West African rivals, putting themselves in a strong position to qualify for the knockout stage.
Speaking after the match, Maikaba stressed the importance of maintaining focus and taking the tournament one game at a time.
“Our full focus is on the next game. We approach this tournament one match at a time, and that’s exactly how we’ll continue. We know that a victory over Togo will secure our place in the semi-finals,” Maikaba said.
Nigeria will now turn their attention to their crucial clash against Togo, knowing that another victory will guarantee a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
The Flying Eagles will be aiming to build on their impressive opening performance and continue their strong start to the tournament.
