The Spiritual leader/Chairman Church Council of Christ’s Chosen Church of God int’l (CCCOGI) Snr. Apst. (Dr.) David Unuefe Ikhuiwu has urged Nigerians to take proactive steps in strengthening security across worship centers across the Country.
Ikhuiwu who spoke to journalist after his investiture as patron and grand commander of Chosen Special Duty Marshals (CSDM) at the international headquarters of the church along Benin-Agbor road, Ohovbe quarters Benin City appealed to both Muslims and christians to be security conscious.
He said as a nation, there is a high sense of insecurity and urge all to collaborate with the government at all levels to checkmate it and together strengthen security across the nation.
“We have a high sense of insecurity everywhere whether in the church, Mosque or in our houses. So there is a need to have a group of people that will help address insecurity. The bible says if God fails to watch over the City, the watchmen watch in vain.
“As a church, we are trying to contribute our quota towards the peace and security of the churches, State and the nation at large by establishing the CSDM. It has been registered both State and nationwide as I am a lover of peace and will be guiding them through”.
The spiritual leader calls on other Churches, Mosque and all Nigerians in general to take proactive steps to protect themselves and ensure security of lives and properties in their domain, urging all to be security conscious.
“I want other Churches, Mosque, Nigerians to take proactive steps to secure their lives and properties. Most churches have their people watching over the Churches while services are going on, all the Churches should follow this step to make sure there is security of lives and properties in Nigeria. We should all be security conscious”.
