The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has joined millions of Edo people in celebrating Governor Monday Okpebholo as the Governor clocks 56.
The Sports Commission boss described the governor as a pragmatic leader who has rekindled hope among the youths through his commitment to sports development.
In a birthday message issued on Saturday by his Media Aide, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele praised the Governor for what he described as his “massive and unwavering support” for sports development, youth empowerment and grassroots talent discovery across Edo State.
He said Governor Okpebholo’s administration has demonstrated a clear understanding of the power of sports to transform the lives of young people, create opportunities and properly place Edo on the national and international sporting map.
According to Enabulele, the Governor’s support for athletes, sporting programmes and infrastructure has injected fresh confidence into the state’s sports community and provided an enabling environment and stronger platform for young talents to excel.
“Governor Monday Okpebholo has shown that when government invests in young people, the entire society benefits. His passion for sports and youth development is not just about winning competitions; it is about building confidence, creating opportunities and giving our youths a sense of purpose.
“Today, we are witnessing a renewed energy in Edo sports because of the Governor’s commitment and support. We are grateful for his leadership and vision,” Enabulele stated.
The Sports Commission Chairman described Okpebholo as a visionary and people-focused leader whose commitment to inclusive governance and the overall development of Edo State continues to attract commendation.
He expressed confidence that the Governor’s administration would achieve greater milestones in the areas of sports development, youth empowerment and infrastructure, adding that the Edo State Sports Commission remains committed to supporting the Governor’s vision for a prosperous and sports-friendly Edo.
Enabulele prayed God to grant Governor Okpebholo longer life, sound health, wisdom and strength to continue steering the affairs of the state to sn enviable height.
