The Court of Arbitration for  Sport (CAS) has revealed that there is no fixed date for the final verdict in the legal dispute between Morocco and Senegal over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final.
CAS Director General Matthew Reeb explained that the arbitration panel could issue its decision within a few days or take several weeks, depending on the nature of the ruling being prepared. ‎
‎According to Reeb, the timeline could be extended if the panel decides to deliver a detailed judgment containing the legal grounds and reasoning behind its decision. ‎ ‎
He stressed that the verdict would not be announced on the day of the hearing or the following day. ‎ ‎
The dispute centres on the outcome of the AFCON 2025 final between Morocco and Senegal, with the case now before CAS for determination. ‎ ‎
The arbitration panel is expected to communicate its decision after completing its deliberations and preparing the necessary documentation.
