BENIN CITY- The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) Chapter of the Nigeria Civil Serive Union (NCSU) yesterday elected new executive to pilot its affairs for the next four years.
Those elected included Comrade Nicholas Aleakhue Akpeh as Chairman, Edogamhe Omohmoghena, Secretary and Mrs. Cicilia Odiase Treasurer.
Inaugurating the executive, the organising Secretary, Mrs. Clara Idehen charged the new members to be more focused and carry out their duties effectively according to the tenets of the Union.
While encouraging the new exco not to give up on whatever challenges they might encounter in the course of discharging their duties, Mrs. Idehen admonished them to be dedicated, committed and remain steadfast if they must succeed.
On his part, the newly elected chairman, Nigeria civil Service Union (NCSU) Comrade Nicholas Aleakhue Akpeh, promised to operate an all –inclusive policy where members are expected to participate in all decision/policy making.
Comrade Akpeh also assured of his commitment towards addressing the issue of workers welfare, revealed that he intends to unveil certain policies that would be of immense benefit to the members and the union at large.
He used the occasion to appreciate the Executive Chairman of the Edo state Internal Revenue Service, Chief Sir Oseni Elamah for his support towards the union both fatherly and formally as well as for ensuring the enabling environment for the election to hold.
