Ogbonicha (Kogi) –  The remains of Prince Abubakar Audu, APC governorship candidate in Kogi, who died on Sunday were laid to rest on Monday in Ogbonicha, his village in Ofu Local Governmnent Area of Kogi.

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who covered the burial, reports that Audu’s remains were buried at exactly 1.32 p.m.

Dignataries who attended the burial included APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and former governors of Benue, Kano and Edo states George Akume, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Lucky Igbinedion.

Sen. Abdulrahman Abubakr representing Kogi East, and several members of the National Assembly were also attendance.

The deceased, a former governor of the state, secured more votes in the election that was declared inconclusive by INEC.
