The 23 players who made this year’s CHAN final squad for Guinea as well as eight backroom staff have each been paid $15,000 for making it to the bi-ennial tournament in Rwanda for the first time.

Guinea are drawn in the same first round group with Nigeria, who are making their second appearance, and 2011 champions Tunisia.

Niger are also in Group C and this will be their second appearance after they featured at the 2011 edition in Sudan.

Nigeria received a win bonus of$5,000 rather than half that amount when they held Burkina Faso to a goalless draw in Ouagadougou to qualify for the CHAN on a 2-0 aggregate.

The 2016 CHAN will kick off in Kigali on January 16.
