Enugu – Rangers Coach Imama Amapakabo says the team’s aspiration for the league title is still on course.
Amapakabo told Nigerian Observersports in Enugu on Monday that the team was working hard to achieve the objective of winning the league.
He said the 2-1 win over host, Heart Land FC of Owerri in a week 20 NPFL encounter was a good beginning.
“ It is a good beginning for us as the second stanza of the league kicks off. Starting the second stanza on a winning note, we believe that our aspiration for the title is on course.”
Amapakabo said that at the beginning of the league, Rangers were not seen as title favourites but that with hard work and determination the team started getting good results.
The coach said the team would take every match seriously and would not underrate any opponent.
“ There are more matches remaining in the second stanza and we need to work very hard to remain on top.
“ Every point we recorded, we worked hard for it. So, if we are able to lead the league, then I know that we have the capacity to go all the way,” he said.
