Benin City- Family of Late Mrs. Kate Ogorchukwu Ebie, Director of Culture, Edo State Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs has expressed gratitude to the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki for the assistance rendered to them by the state government during the burial ceremony.
The husband of the deceased, Mr. Godwin Ebie, who led the children to the office of the Commissioner of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Osaze Osemwegie-Ero in Benin City, thanked the governor for being there for them.

“My wife was very passionate for culture before she died. We are humbled by the kind gesture of the government and we are grateful for the contribution of the state governor to the family, that is why we have come to show appreciation to the government through the commissioner,” he noted.
In his response, Hon. Osaze Osemwegie-Ero, said, the late Mrs. Ebie was very good to the ministry and she contributed to the development of Culture in the state.

The Commissioner told the family of the late Director for culture, that the governor was instrumental to all that was done for them and noted that, “God gives and He takes. That is the little we can do to support the family and do not hesitate to call on us and we will continue to be there for you.”
Present at the Commissioner’s office were directors and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Sam Aigbirio.
