Warri – The newly elected member representing the Warri Federal Constituency, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi has reeled out four cardinal themes for the people of Warri Federal Constituency for the next four years in order to fast track development of the area.

Director General of the Thomas Ereyitomi constituency Office , Chief Robinson Ariyo, during an interactive session with journalists in Warri, said the four cardinal themes include , economic development, capacity building, peace building and research and advocacy .

He added that ,the themes which formed the basis of the Thomas Ereyitomi campaign are also in consonance with the master plan of both the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as well as the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

While lamenting the poor economic state of Warri Federal Constituency in spite of its rich natural resources, Ariyo said, his principal would ensure that the Warri and Koko ports come alive again.

He said, ” It is one thing to promise, it is another thing to deliver on the promise.

“Our people have been left behind for far too long. We need to take our proper place in the committee of oil producing communities.

“If the society, Warri Federal Constituency is better today, it will be better for all of us. It is on record that Nigeria is at the top of poverty rating in the world.

“In the area of peace building, most of our communities are polarized. But there is no conflict that is unresolvable. We want to make a deliberate effort to ensure that our communities live in peace.”

Chief Ariyo, a lawyer and peace building expert, who acknowledged the fact that they may not be able achieve all that they set out to achieve, however noted
that , each intervention that is embarked on will be done in a way that it will be sustainable.

Chief Ereyitomi expressed gratitude to the people of his constituency for their support throughout the elections, and urged aggrieved individuals who lost in the February 23 poll to sheathe their swords and join hands with him to pursue the development of the land and bring the desired dividends of democracy to the people.
