Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has expressed his deep appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing two eminent sons of the state into his cabinet.
A statement from the Chief Press Secretary, Ebomhiana Musa stated that the appreciation was contained in
separate letters of congratulations Shaibu personally signed and addressed to Dr Osagie Ehanire and Prince Clement Ikanade Agba, thanking the President for finding the two Edolites worthy of ministerial appointments.
According to him, “let me seize this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, for finding you worthy to serve our great country at this time of the ‘Next Level Agenda.’
Philip Shaibu told the two ministers in the separate letters that ” the good people of Edo State and indeed, all Nigerians expect nothing short of a sterling performance from you on this onerous national assignment”.
He added: ” I have no doubt what soever that you will bring your robust wealth of experience to bear on this patriotic call to serve our fatherland at this critical time of our national development as a nation.”
President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Dr Osagie Ehanire and Prince Clement Agba into his cabinet as Health Minister and that of Budget and National Planning ( State) respectively.
In a similar development, the Deputy Governor congratulated former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva over his appointment as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources. He was amongst the ministers sworn in last Wednesdsy by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In the message, Shaibu said the people of the South South geopolitical zone of the country expect nothing less than a robust representation in the Buhari cabinet, especially given his experience as a former governor.
