BENIN CITY- The Edo State Police Command has declared an eighteen year-old boy wanted for alleged murder in Benin City.

The suspect, identified as Saturday Osifo, was said to have hit his victim with a rod during an altercation in a mechanic workshop at Upper Sokponba axis of the state capital.

He allegedly fled the scene as his whereabouts remained unknown since the incident occurred on October 22, 2014.

The police command stated this in a statement signed by its acting spokesman DSP Uwoh Noble and made available to The OBSERVER newspaper, in Benin City, yesterday.

It further stated that the Nigerian police force would not leave any stone unturned to ensure the fleeing suspect is arrested and made to face justice.

“Our operatives have launched a serious manhunt for the eighteen year-old fleeing murder suspect, Saturday Osifo.

“He is tall, dark complexion, speaks Edo and English languages fluently.

“The police use this medium to appeal to members of the public with information that will lead to his arrest to report to the nearest police station for a handsome reward”. The statement read in parts.
