The remains of Late Bridget Oghogho Emwanta was laid to rest at the weekend after a funeral mass held at the St. Matthew Catholic Church, Ogba in Benin City.

In his sermon, Reverend Father Jonah Owanwu who commiserated with the family, especially the husband, Mr. Edward Emwanta thanked God for the life she lived.

According to the clergy, St Matthew Catholic Church, Christian Women Organization (CWO) will miss her for the services she rendered to the church.

“We commiserate with the husband and children and pray for God’s grace to be able to bear the loss because she was a good wife and mother to the family. We are consoled with the fact that she lived a good life.

“Let us learn to do well and shun evil. Do not participate in corruption. Do good to those who cannot repay you and God who sees all things will reward you because at the end it is six feet” he appealed to the congregation.

The Edo State Commissioner for Communitcation and Orientation, Barr. Andrew Adaze Emwanta described late Bridget Oghogho Emwanta as a good mother and house wife who the family was proud of.

According to the Commissioner who is a cousin to the husband, her death is a big loss to the family, noting that, “God knows why certain things happen, but we are consoled in the fact that she is resting in the bosom of the lord.”

Also, Mrs. Clara Iziren said Late Bridget Oghogho Emwanta was a God fearing, faithful and kind hearted mother who has left the family so soon.

“We will continue to pray for her, the husband and the children she left behind,” she added.
