BENIN CITY- A popular Benin- based female Musician, Glory Ogiemwonyi has been declared wanted by the Police following her alleged involvement in bisexuality.
This is even as her suspected partner, Osas Imadiyi, said to be serial lesbian was lynched to death by angry youths who caught the two suspects in the act.
It was learnt that Glory Ogiemwonyi now at large was caught at the weekend with Osas making love when some youths in the area stumbled on them and raised the alarm which attracted people to swoop on them.
The act which is a taboo in the community and a crime against the State, however angered the people as it was a serious abomination in Benin tradition and criminal offense in Nigeria law.
According to reports, the youths also beat Glory to a near death situation, with series of injuries inflicted on her before handing her over to the Police.
While Osas according to sources died on the spot as result of injuries inflicted on her by the mobs.
The NIGERIAN OBSERVER gathered further that alleged bisexual Glory, mother of three who was receiving medication treatment at the Central Hospital in Benin allegedly escaped from the hospital.
It was further learnt that the Police officer detailed to watch over Glory at the hospital while receiving treatment, aided her escape to an unknown destination as at the time of this report.
Meanwhile,, the Police Spokesman,, DSP Abiodun Osifo, confirmed the incident to newsmen, even as he revealed that the Police officer had been detained pending when the bisexual suspect (Glory) is rearrested.
Osifo, also revealed that all attempt by the Command to clampdown on the bisexual suspect proved abortive, even as her mother escaped with Glory’s three children when the detectives stormed their residence.
He, however, called on members of the public who may have useful information about the whereabouts of the fleeing Glory Ogiemwonyi to contact the nearest Police station as handsome rewards await the informant.
It would be recall that Nigeria under former President Goodluck Jonathan, had passed into law a bill that proscribed and criminalises homosexuality, gay marriage, same-sex marriage relationship and other amorous relationship as offenders are liable for minimum of 14 years upon conviction.
