BENIN CITY-The recently deployed Commissioner of Police to Edo State, Mr. Samuel Adegbuyi has solicited the collaboration of the Bendel Newspapers Company Limited, BNCL, Publishers of The NIGERIAN OBSERVER newspaper in the fight against crime and criminality in the State.
COMPOL Adegbuyi made the appeal when he led other senior officers of Edo Police Command on a familiarization tour to the corporate headquarters of BNCL, Benin City, yesterday.
He thanked management of THR BNCL for the support rendered to his predecessor in crime prevention and control.
“For your past contributions, I came to show my appreciation, because my predecessor told me how you have been coloborating. “ The organization, reporters and management, I must commend The NIGERIAN OBSERVER, and like Oliver Twist, I ask for more of the synergy, the existing cordial relationship between the Edo State Police Command and The NIGERIAN OBSERVER, be sustained”. CP Adegbuyi stated.
The Police Commissioner further noted that the geographical location of the state in the country and its antendant security challenges demand the coloboration of all and sundry. Welcoming the Police Chief on behalf of other Senior staff to the corporate headquarters of the BNCL, the Acting General Manager, BNCL, Rev. Monday Aigbe thanked the CP for acknowledging the cordial relationship between The NIGERIAN OBSERVER newspaper and the Edo State Police Command.
Rev. Aigbe however assured the commissioner that the company would do everything possible to sustain the relationship.
“We will do everything possible to sustain it”. Rev. Aigbe pledged.
