OKADA (OVIA NORTH EAST) – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured corps members posted to the state of their safety, welfare, and security during their service year.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa, made the promise during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2024 Batch C Stream One corps members, held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Okada, Ovia North-East Local Government Area.

Governor Okpebholo emphasized the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mission to unite the nation, foster development, and empower young Nigerians.

He urged the corps members to cooperate fully with the NYSC management and to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful service year.

In her address, Mrs. Ben-Ushie Francis, the State Coordinator of NYSC encouraged the corps members to embrace the platform as an opportunity to build lifelong friendships, connect with people from diverse backgrounds, and create networks for future opportunities.

A highlight of the event was the administration of the oath of allegiance, led by the Edo State Chief Judge, Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa, represented by Hon. Justice V.O. Eborieme.
