BENIN CITY – A middle aged man, Uyigue Osariemen Wilson from Ikoha Village in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State is currently on a life-threatening battle with one of the most dreaded secret cult sects known as Ogboni Confraternity in the country.

It was gathered that Wilson narrowly escaped being killed as suspected members of the occult body stormed his hide out in the village.

His offence, according to a reliable source, stemmed from his refusal to adhere to the family’s instruction that he should take over his late father’s position in the Ogboni Confraternity.

According to the source, it is a cultural belief that after the death of any member of the occult group, it is expected that the eldest son takes his position.

Investigation by The NIGERIAN OBSERVER revealed that different delegates from the Ogboni secret cult paid separate visits his family’s residence to pressurise Wilson to be initiated into the cult group but all their efforts did not yield any positive result.

Wilson vehemently opposed to the decision of his family, citing his Christian belief as the reason, The NIGERIA OBSERVER scooped.

This, according to the source, angered the members of the Ogboni confraternity who vowed to use Wilson as a sacrificial lamb for their ancestors but Wilson got a hint of the vow and escaped to Kano State on January 7, 2015.

Meanwhile, news filtered in that the Christian/Muslim religious crises resurfaced again recently which almost claimed Wilson’s life in Kano but fortunately he escaped before the rampaging islamic youths destroyed his shop and many other shops in the city.

Since the religious crisis broke out, the whereabouts of Wilson is not known.
