Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has sealed a move to Israeli side Bnot Netanya for an undisclosed fee.

Ebi joins Bnot Netanya from Nigeria Women Football League team Naija Ratels following a short spell with the Abuja based club.

She made a return to the domestic league after 15 years in Europe when she pitched her tent with Ratels before the start of the 2023/24 season.

A veteran in the women’s game, the 40-year-old turned out for Ratels in three NWFL games, where she earned an assist in their defeat to Nasarawa Amazons.

She also captained the side to their first league win this season, triumphing over Adamawa Queens after a hard-fought encounter.

Ebi has suited out for clubs in Turkey and Belarus where she won league titles with Atasehir Belediyespor and FC Minsk, respectively.

She also played in Sweden, China and Spain during her decorated career which dates back to 2001 on the home front with Omidiran Babes.

On the international scene with Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Ebi has played at multiple Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the title on four occasions.

In 2023, She became the first African player, male or female, to play at six FIFA Women’s World Cups following her inclusion in Falcons’ squad for the event co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
