BENIN CITY – “Efforts by the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led administration to seal all financial leakages and ensure a corruption-free system culmininated in the massive infrastructural development across the state”, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) Chief (Sir) Oseni Elamah has said.
Chief Elamah made the remarks at the end-of-year party organised by the EIRS as part of its social corporate responsibilities.
Chief Elamah who noted that the New Benin axis has benefited immensely, from the on-going infrastructures, raging from schools, roads amongst others, assured the people that the present government would continue to accord priority on youth employment in the area.
He used the opportunity to educate the people comprised of over fifty-two odionweres and youths on the need to register and obtain their permanent voters card as that would guarantee their right to enthrone the desired change.
Earlier, the Chairman of the New Benin Community Development Association, Hon. Anthony Owie commended the Executive Chairman, EIRS, Chief Elamah for his track records since assumption of office and for organising such event for the host community.
He appealed to the state government through the EIRS boss for youth employment in the area, assign that it will go a long way towards ameliorating the issue of youth restiveness in the area.
Also speaking, the odionwere of Marinal Street, Valentine Jombo lauded Chief Elamah for the developmental strides recorded so far since assumption of office as the Executive Chairman, EIRS.
He said that the people were not unaware of the negative remarks made against his (Chief Elamah) person in his line of duty, just as he pointed out that some person were being glorified on the basis of what the EIRS boss is doing towards the betterment and progress of the state.
Some artistes, including the Miniminiwana Scrooner, Maleke, Pikolo Efex, 3.6 and Lycon were on ground to thrill the audience.
