A young man identified as Oriakhi Osato is on the run for his life after police declared him wanted over the tragic death of his pregnant girlfriend in Benin city.
The Nigerian Observer learned that the runway man who was a former cultist had a long running battle with members of his former cult over his sudden refusal to associate with the group who are dangerously violent in nature.
Oriakhi Osato ,it was said incurred the wrath of his former members as the cult group however threatened to eliminate him for refusing to associate with them as they were reputed for violent atrocities .
Confirmed report in the community revealed that the 4-months pregnant girlfriend ,Joy Amadin died after suspected cultists believed to be members of Oriakhi Osato’s former group stormed his house while he was away to work.
It was said that, the group unleashed terror on his girlfriend when it was certain their target was not home .
She was however confirmed dead on her way to a hospital for urgent medical attention,it was gathered.
Meanwhile, families of the pregnant girlfriend and Oriakhi Osato were however entangled in a litigation over the tragic end of the pregnant girlfriend as sources in her family who did not want their names in print revealed that Joy from the moment of her pregnancy was never at peace with her boyfriend who desperately wanted the pregnancy terminated because according to her family members, Oriakhi Osato murdered her for refusing to terminate the pregnancy.
The Nigerian Observer gathered that the death of Joy Amadin which happened on January 25,2013 was taken over by the police who promised to press charges against the runway man at the completion of investigation.
The family of the deceased pregnant girlfriend after several efforts to obtain information concerning the sudden death of Joy, refused to give details of the extent of the squabbles between both families prior to the tragic death of Joy Amadin.
Confirmed report from police indicated that the family of the runway man which include Oriakhi Pius ( father) and his younger brother from the village were always on hand to report at the police station to allow for uninterrupted hearing on the tragic death of Joy in court .
Meanwhile, concerted efforts by operatives of the law enforcement agencies ,including the police, in the state had begun to ensure that the runway man, Oriakhi Osato is apprehended and prosecuted on charges bothering on murder.
Reports in the community revealed that Oriakhi Osato who ran away from the community on January 25th,2013 after the tragic death ,has since not returned to his family while he has been declared wanted as his current location remain unknown.
