BENIN CITY: Edo State Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki has said his administration is guided by God to providing people oriented leadership that will ensure the people enjoyed the dividend of democracy.

He said this when he received the General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church Rev. Felix Meduoye on a courtesy call to government house in Benin City yesterday.

Obaseki said his administration is guided by God and his grace as continually with the administration. “We want to assure you that we are a government that believe in God. As a government, we have no doubt that it is by the grace of God we are serving on the political pull pit, so anything that concern God and the people of God, we are naturally committed to it”.

“We are very clear what our missions are, God has put us here for a purpose to help redefine the country. The country is evolving and people like us who you will not call traditional politician are now been attracted to politic to come and serve. What we require and request from you is your continuous prayers”.

He thanked Foursquare Gospel Church, CAN and PFN for the roles they played in prayers, directions and advised after the Supreme Court victory, under the auspices of CAN.

Earlier, the General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church Rev. Felix Meduoye thanked the governor for the opportunity to visit. He said the Church is believes and stand with civil government.

“Our Church believes and stands with civil government. We recognize that we need civil government and we believe that there is no governor except that which God him self have ordained and we are beginning to see your hands all over Edo state”.

“We are here for an evangelical crusade tagged: Grace Power night which is slated for Friday and Saturday. It’s essentially for preaching the church major cardinal messages of the Saviour, Baptiser, healer and coming King, to bring light to the lives of people who need to know Jesus”.

Rev. Meduoye said the church is contributing her quota to the development of the state and touching the lives of the citizens and the people of the state.
