Accra – A Group, the Pan African Federalist Movement (PAFM), has held it first West Africa Regional conference, with a call on Africa Union (AU) to have as an agenda, a United Africa State, to be subject to a referendum in all African states by 2021, where a 60 Percent YES votes will automatically trigger a unification.

The group which made the call in a resolution contained in a communiqué from a conference held recently at Accra, Ghana, stated that, a United Africa State would leverage on the full economic potential of the continent to the benefit of its people.

The communiqué, signed by PAFM West Africa Regional Coordinator, Mr. Bernard Mornah, Coordinator, PAFM Nigeria, Comr Umudjere Africaman, and Coordinator, PAFM Ghana, Comrade Ernesto Yeboah, also resolve to address massive youth unemployment, poverty and cure the mirage of problems that bedevil the region.

The conference with the theme, “Africa Must Unite”, and attended by three West Africa countries, namely Nigeria, Mali, Ghana, aim to unite all Pan African organizations, educate youths on Pan Africanism and also to involve more women and youths in the education and mobilization process.

The group however vowed to revolt against negative policies enforced by governmental and non-governmental organizations across the continent and set up a regional committee that will oversee the affairs of PAFM in West Africa.
