The All Progressives Congress (APC), in a nouveaux riche stride, have overwhelmingly won all the outstanding 18 Local government chairmanship slots available at the March 3,2018, Edo State Local Government Election.

Haven received results from the 18 Returning Officers covering each council area, the Chairman, Edo State Independent Electoral Commission(EDSIEC), Prof. Stanley Orobator declared results for the March 3, 2018, which clearly put APC at the helm of affairs in all the Edo State Local Government Areas.

Mr. Napoleon Agbama of the APC won the Chairmanship slot for Uhunmwonde Local Government Area (LGA) with 32,292 beating his closest rival from the APP who polled 83 valid votes, to a distant second position.

Aremiyau Aligame Momoh won with 32,906 to clinch the spot for Etsako East; Destiny Enabulele won for Ovia South-West with 56,764; Dr. Waziri Idemudia Edokpa was returned as chairman Esan Central with 28,397 votes while Hon. Patrick Aguinede won with 34,854 valid votes.

For Igueben LGA, Mr. Ogedengbe odia Joseph won with 25,861; Dr. Osayande Eric Iyobo won Ikpoba-Okha LGA with 68,926 and Mr. Sylvester Okoro claimed the seat for Orhionmwon with 47,442 votes.

John Osi Akhigbe coasted home to victory with 22,235 votes; Evbarekhe Jenkins Osunde won with 53,381 votes for Oredo LGA and Ogbemudia Osazee won with 41,303 votes for Ovia North-East.

For Owan East, Andrew Osigwe won a total vote count of 34,579; Eghe Ogbemudia the only female APC candidate won with 15,348 votes for Egor LGA and Frank Ilaboya ran on to victory with 28,406 votes for Owan West.

Hon. Emuakhagbon Osobase Victor won the seat for Esan South-East with 34,765 votes; Augustine Okebuole with 24,127 votes for Esan North-East; Chief Musa Oshiorenua Yakubu with 69,998 for Etsako West while Don Oteh Umor was declard the chairman, Akoko- Edo LGA with 42,471 valid votes cast.
