BENIN CITY – The Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu, yesterday in Benin City commissioned the newly acquired Audi 80 car, Zhejiang Sifang 30KVA Generator set, HP LaserJet 5100le Printer and the refurbished Kord Printing Machine by the leadership of the Acting General Manager, Bendel Newspapers Company Limited (B.N.C.L), Publishers of the Observer Titles, Mrs. Rhoda Akhanolu.
The Commissioner who was received on arriving the premises of BNCL by top management staff that include the Newspapers’ Editor, Barrister Solomon Imohiosen commended Mrs. Akhanolu for for purchase of the equipments during her short while in office.
Hon. Ohonbamu described the performance of the Acting General Manager as superlative and said that she has done marvelously well as Ag. Manager of the newspapers.
Ohonbamu, however, promised to take the message to the state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
Earlier, Akhanolu, while introducing the equipments to the Commissioner, expressed appreciation to the state government for given her the opportunity to serve the people.
She maintained that she was happy to be leaving a legacy behind, just as she thanked members of staff for their support during her stay in BNCL.
Recall that Mrs. Rhoda Akhanolu who was appointed the Acting General Manager of the company in April, 2019 will be on June 6, 2019 proceeding on terminal leave.
