Agbor – A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta state, Patrick Ikechukwu Ebomah on Monday, said federal government’s investment in rail infrastructure will be a “huge boost” to Delta state and the country’s economy.

Ebomah made the assertion during a chat with The Nigerian Observer at Agbor, in Ika-South local government area of the state.

He said, the investment in Itakpe-Warri rail line, is vital for the transportation of agricultural produce, other goods and solid minerals that are abound in the location, to different part of the country.

The federal government in 2018 test-runned 320km rail track from Itakpe, in Kogi state through Agbor to Warri in Delta state, first time a train passed through the corridor since 1987.
