Sequel to the screening of the Engineer Professor Umar Garba Danbatta by the Senate committee on communication for the post of the executive vice chairman of the Nigerian communication commission (NCC), the Senate, Tuesday, confirmed the appointment of Engineer Professor Umar Garba Danbatta as the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC for a second term.
Danbatta was screened by the Senate on the request of Mr. President, Muhammad Buhari for a second term in accordance with section 8(1) of the Nigerian Communication Act, 2003.
The Senate President while congratulating him, urged him to do all within his power to make sure that the NCC lives up to its mandate of creation.
