BENIN CITY- The Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH), Benin City, has resolved to sustain its renewed relationship with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council.

The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Imafidon Osama Agbonile, gave the assurance while playing host to the leadership of Edo NUJ, yesterday in Benin City, the state capital.

He said that the resolve was informed by the need for the hospital to maintain strong tie with core institutions in the state.

Agbonile acknowledged the importance of the media in the society just as the challenges that confronts practitioners.

He thanked the union for the visit, and said that the hospital management was not unaware of the challenges bedeviling the state NUJ, hence the resolve to support the union in whatever capacity the hospital can.

Earlier, the State NUJ Chairman, Sir Roland Oskue, while addressing Management of FNPH, congratulated Dr. Agbonile for his recent appointment as CMD of the hospital, noting that the elevation was well deserved

He Recalled that NUJ in the past have fostered cordial relationship with the Hospital which he solicited should continue with Agbonile’s administration.

He assured, that under his leadership, the Hospital would enjoy adequate publicity, just as Osakue solicited the aid of the Hospital to enable smooth operation of the Union.
