WARRI – A mid-day robbery attack has claimed the life of a mobile policeman along Airport Road in Warri Delta State.
According to an eye witness , the incident which occurred at a popular electronics company opposite Edjeba junction, caused passersby to scamper for safety as the four gang armed men shot sporadically into the air after killing the mobile policeman attached to the company with his service rifle taken away.
Nigerian Observer, learnt that , the armed men specifically was after the policeman’s rifle as no attempt was made to enter into the electronics warehouse.
The sad incident forced the company to close the day’s business abrupt.
When contacted, the Delta Command Police Public Relations Officer, ASP. Onome Onoakpoyeya , who spoke to the Nigerian Observer Correspondent via telephone, confirmed the incident but however, said ,she was awaiting details of the report.
