As the maiden Edo Governor’s Cup enters the Quarter finals stage today, popular grassroots football clubs including Shooting Arrow, Dinamo Academicas, Eagle Stars and Stars City are among the eight qualified clubs batling for the semifinals place.
The other teams qualified for the semifinals include Royal FC, Young stars, Efe-urhocity Academy and Aidia sports.
In some of the last group matches decided, on Wednesday, Efe urhocity and Star city fc played a goalless draw, why Dinamo Academica defeated Eagles stars 4-0.
The semi finals is scheduled for Thursday 8th July 2021 at Western Boys High school mini stadium in Ikpoba-Okha local government Area
The Edo Governors cup football tournament which is being organised by the Federation of Youth Soccer Clubs (Feysoc) Edo state for youth clubs in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo state is being sponsored by the Secretary to Edo state Government, Barr Osaradion Ogie, in honour of Edo state sports loving Governor Mr Godwin Obaseki.
According to the organisers handsome prizes await the winners during the closing ceremony of the tournament .
