BENIN CITY – The incumbent President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Engr Musa Kida has been reelected president of the nation’s basketball Federation to Pilot the affairs of the Federation for another term of four years.

Kida was returned unopposed during the well attended elective congress of NBBF held in Benin on Monday, January 31,2022.

Other elected members of the Kida led board include: Ugo Udezue- South East;Olumide Oyedeji- South West;North East- Alhaji Abba Kaka;North West- Surajo Yusuff;North Central- Adamu Janlong;VP- Babatunde Ogunade
International Rep- Col Sam Ahmedu (rtd);Victor Okoro- Military/Paramilitary .

Ahmed Elhariri ,president, FIBA zone 5; North Africa (member ,FIBA Africa central board Was FIBA representative and observer in the electoral process midwife by Dr Lanre Glover led electoral committee.

On the election process, the FIBA representative Ahmed Elhariri who was impressed by the process and outcome commended the electoral committee for well done job and as well described the process as credible and peaceful.

In his speach after the swearing in, the reelection president of NBBF, Engr Musa Kida thanked all the stakeholders and members for the confidence reposed in him and members of the new board.

He promised that the new Executive will not disappointed them.

He stated that the new board under his watch is open to to all members’ critism and suggestions that could shapen the Federation.

He called on some aggressive members for whatever be the issues to to come out genuinely as his new board is ready to carry all members along.
