Ado-Ekiti: Two Students from State Owned Institution in Ekiti State in the South-West of Nigeria have been caught in the act of lesbianism on campus, they were beaten and forced to walk naked on Campus in broad day light.

The two lovers who were engrossed in sexual act on campus forgot to lock the door to their room in the hostel while they engage in the abominable act which is strange to the Nigerian Culture, customs and tradition of the land.

Oluwunmi Kayinsola, a 400 level student of Business Administration Department was caught in the sexual act with her lover one Olufunmilayo Hannah Durotoye a 300 level student of English Department in the same Institution in Ekiti State.

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Institution, Mr. Tomi Alaba who was shocked at the shameless act said a student in the same hostel with the lovers (name withheld) came to report the unholy act to his men who contacted the police immediately. He noted that the student said unexplained noise was coming from one of the hostel room enhance the need to report the incident to security men.

Mr. Alaba said they have called the DPO in charge of the area and have assured  that they are sending their men here. “We are waiting for them as it will be risky to leave the girls here because if we do, their might be a mob action”.

The CSO said “my fear is that the police might not have bases to prosecute these girls for this abominable act because there is no law yet in the Nigerian Constitution to punish offenders of such a crime”.

The students who reported the act said “We were shocked with this abomination in our hostel, this is shameful, devilish and sacrilege in our land. I am from this State and we respect our culture, customs and tradition but this action has polluted our land. It’s crazy to see a female having sex with fellow female, how possible? This is disgraceful to the female gender, we all should collaborate to stop this act in our land.

“This is really devilish and very annoying and if not for the school security who are still protecting them, students and indigenes of this community are ready to burn these people alive. This is strange to us and strange to our community, this imported culture, must stop, God help us”.

A similar situation happened in Abudu Town, Edo State, South-South of the Country where two men were seen kissing each other and were arrested by the local vigilante group, and elders of the community caution them against such shameless act. They were asked to pay fine for their misbehaviour and the money used  to buy items to carryout sacrifice to clean the land before they could be allowed to continue to live in that community.

This abomination and shamelessness is gradually eroding our culture, customs and highly respected tradition of our land. It’s time for political, religious and traditional leaders to do something urgent to stop this emerging trend.

As at the time of filing in this report, the lovers Olawunmi Kayinsola and Olufunmilayo Hannah Durotoye are in police custody”.
