A young man identified as Ugbogbo Ovbukhan in his early twenties has been reportedly declared wanted by the police over his involvement in gay practice with his male partner identified as Jerry.
It was gathered that his male partner, Jerry who hails from Okrika community in Port Harcourt, Rivers state was nabbed in the act with Ugbogbo Ovbukhan in a remote community in Edo state.
The Nigerian Observer was reliably informed that Ugbogbo Ovbukhan and his male partner, Jerry were regular visitors to the remote community housing one of the buildings being used for relaxation.
According to information made available to the Nigerian Observer , the two gay suspects ,who often times lodge to make use of the accommodation facility , were taken unaware by vigilant members of the community.
An eyewitness ,who did not want his name in print ,said the two gay suspects often operate in a manner to mislead people when often either one of them would come to make payment for one of the rooms for which the other partner, would later come to meet his partner.
The two gay suspects were however unlucky on the said day in February 2008 when they started the act of gay practice without knowing that prying eyes were everywhere in the community.
Unfortunately for the two gay suspects who were already in the act of gay practice few minutes after checking in , angry mob in collaboration with the management of the facility forcibly broke into the room when it became obvious they were performing the sacrilegious act.
The two gay suspects were however caught in the act and mercilessly beaten up by angry mob for desecrating the community , before one of the gay suspects, Ugbogbo Ovbukhan escaped from the gathering where they were being beaten up owing to the late arrival of the police.
Meanwhile ,Jerry who was unable to run for his life was taken away and arrested by the police for further interrogation.
A public statement made available to the Nigerian Observer by the police said the police had concluded plans after its investigation into the case of gay practice between one Jerry and his male partner identified as Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who it was said escaped before the arrival of the police.
The police further said that Jerry had been charged to court in accordance with the provision of the law to face stiff punishment of over 10 years of imprisonment if convicted while efforts have been intensified to arrest the fleeing Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who has been declared wanted .
According to the police ,Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who hails from Edo state when apprehended would be prosecuted for his involvement in the sacrilegious act of gay practice.
