BENIN CITY-The death of a young Welder Assistant, a Benin man in his late twenties, known as Augustine Ajayi has began to cause serious ripples in Benin City as reported by our correspondent.

The Nigerian OBSERVER gathered that on April 6, 2012, Augustine, who was working with his friend and colleague master, Mr. Ohenhen Osabuohien in his early thirties, followed him to an outside work as usual, where he met his untimely death.

According to a very reliable insider source, who doesn’t want his name mentioned for fear of victimization that narrated the incident to our correspondent, said the whole story started on that fateful day in early April.

He said both Augustine and his master Osabuohien left the welding workshop, he (Osabuohien) inherited from his late father, to work in their welding contract job of fixing, iron stair case protector in a two-storey building.

As they were working, Augustine unfortunately lost control and fell straight down from the two storey, to the down floor and died on the spot, before help could come his way.

But the sudden twist about the entire incident is that the family of Late Augustine Ajayi have alleged that they suspect a foul play in the death of their son and brother. Their suspicion is seriously based on and directed towards his close colleague and friend Ohenhen Osabuohien, who is generally and well known to everybody within and outside their work place that both the Late Augustine Ajayi and Ohenhen Osabuohien are friends. One returned and the other found dead afterall, then they need not suspect nobody else than his colleague/master who they both went out together to work.

Thereafter, they started looking for the head of Osabuohien. On getting the feelers that they are looking desperately for his head, he then abandoned the work and workshop and staying away from public places and stay indoor always.

A source close to the Ohenhen family also revealed that on the fateful day of attack that Osabuohien was last seen, he was very fortunate to have gotten the hint of the expected attack.
The family of the late Augustine Ajayi mobilized some armed treacherous looking thugs and cultists to kill their suspect, but was lucky to escape for his dear life slightly before their arrival.

But on getting to the house and not getting their target, after ransacking all the nooks and crannies of the house, they then chased away all the occupants and set the house ablaze. They also went to burn down the welding workshop In anger, they vowed to get Ohenhen Osabuohien dead or alive anywhere found.

Because of the powerful and influential nature of the late Augustine Ajayi’s family, the escapee Osabuohien has become an endangered species, as the armed thugs still parade Ohenhen’s family house area and all known places he normally visit, day and night in search of him by all means.

They have even succeeded in declaring Ohenhen Osabuohien wanted. To the extent that a handsome reward of five million naira has been placed on any successful informant that can lead to his apprehension to come and face the death sentenceable offence. The family of the deceased have also vowed that they don’t want to see the runaway Ohenhen exist on this mother earth, when their own is no more. The information has been passed round with his photograph all over the country to their cult members to get him down anytime, anywhere, anyday.

Since then, nothing has been heard about the said Ohenhen Osabuohien nor sighted anywhere around.
