Life seems not to be meaningful for the family of one Pa. Esosa in Beni City, Edo State, following the safety and whereabouts of their son, Esosa Ernest, who it was learnt is on the run over the death of his lover girlfriend, Aisha Momodu.

The disappearance of Ernest, according to investigation is not unconnected with ill-fated pregnancy abortion of his girlfriend, which reportedly led to her death on October 14, 2006 is currently generating tensions and worries in Airport Road axis area in Benin

Pained by the death of their daughter, it was gathered that the parents and other family members of the Late. Aisha invaded Ernest’s residence with alleged dangerous weapons with the intent to killing Ernest who they accused of been responsible for her death.

Ernest, it was further scooped managed to escape from the invaders unhurt to a location later learnt to be Kano State for safety, while the irked Aisha’s family members who were piqued by the escape of Ernest consequently recked untold havoc on Ernest’s family members.

Speaking to our Correspendent in Benin, a source who craved for anonymity, narrated that trouble started when Aisha confided on Ernest that she was pregnant for him.

The source stated that in a bid to making their relationship formal, Aisha told her Muslim parents about the development, disclosing that unknown to her that the parents would objected vehemently to Aisha carrying Ernest baby, let alone marrying him, owing to religious differences.

The development, allegedly led to Ernest given a concoction, suspected to be pregnancy terminated substance to Aisha, this according to the source led to Aisha’s bleeding excessively.

Caught by her parents bleeding profusely, Aisha was said to have later confessed to her parents that her boyfriend Esosa Ernest, gave her the concoction to terminate her pregnancy, this is even as the abortion later became complicated, which unfortunately led to her death.

“Following the untimely and painful death of their daughter, Aisha, her family members consequently declared Ernest wanted dead or alive to atone for his action, this is just as they began a manhunt for the suspect.

However, there was a twist of event six years after the death of Aisha, as suspected gunmen numbering over seven in the guise of muslim and christian crisis in Kano invaded the hideout of Esosa Ernest, apparently to execute him.

According to eyewitness accounts, the murder suspect during the incident which occured on June 30, 2012 escaped death by whiskers and disappeared into unknown destination, while the gunmen, suspected to have been sent by Aisha’s father set his hideout ablaze

As at the time of this report, the whereabouts of Esosa Ernest could not be ascertained even as no arrest has been made by the police in connection with the attempt on Ernest life.
