It was cold, as well as fear, panic and pandemonium as the mystery surrounding the death of one Mr. Kinsley Otamere, whose body was found on a road side close the deceased family house on January 1, 2013 in a suspicious manner is still causing apprehension in the land.

Though, the circumstances surrounding his death was still skeptical as at press time, our crime reporter gathered that the Late Kingsley Otamere’s death could not be unconnected with occultic brouhaha between the deceased and his son, Alfred Kinsley on one side and members of the dreaded Ogboni cofraternit in which the Late Otamere held away.

According to a reliable sources close to the family and who craved for anonymity, the Late Kinsley Otamere who resided at No 5, Iyeya Lane, off Iyeya street, Benin city, had been mounting pressure on his son, Alfred on the need to be initiated into the occult group.

It was further learned that Kinsley vehemently opposed the Ogboni’s pressure, basing his reason on his Christian religious faith which forbids him to participate in fetish activities.

Kingsley’s refusal was reported to have triggered series of controversy which led to the Ogboni cult group issuing various threats to the family of late Otamere until his eventual death which is still causing apprehension in the land.

The situation it was gathered later escalated for Alfred Kinsley when after the mysterious death of his father, the die-hard cult group staged a manhunt for Alfred whom according to sources must present himself for ritual rite before being initiated.

The situation our reporter gathered apparently prompted Alfred to escape to an unknown destination for cover and has since not seen or heard of.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of Alfred Kinsley who has been declared wanted by the dreaded cult group, was still unknown.
