BENIN CITY – A young man,George Edobor is on the run over his involvement in same sex activities and he has been declared wanted by the police.
In a chat with newsmen at the State Police Headquarters,the Police Public Relations Officer,Edo State Command DSP Nwochei,stated that George was confessed as a gay by his partner,Alex Ebeye,a University of Benin Undergraduate, who was arrested by the police.Alex confessed to the crime after incriminating evidence of him and George was found on Alex’s phone by the police.He confessed to the crime and led police to George’s Benin City resident and police did not see him at home.
Investigation by our crime reporter reveals that,George has been a homosexual right from his primary school days.
He was once taken to a Witch Doctor’s place at Igbanke,in Orhionmwon local government area,Edo State to exorcised the same sex spirit in him.
A close family source told our reporter that George once wrote a letter to a close friend,wooing him to be his gay partner.The friend told his father,who in turn told George’s father,Godwin Edobor.That was when the father took him to the Witch Doctor.The Witch Doctor,according to the source,told Mr Godwin Edobor that his son,George is possessed by evil spirit,hence is homosexual nature.He was cut and marked with knives and blade to drive out the evil spirit.
The source further said that,he was taken to Agbor in Delta State,where he met Alex Ebeye in a barber shop George was working.They started their homosexual relationship,until December 2009,when they were caught naked making love by the police in a hotel in Agbor.
It was gathered that the management of the hotel were suspicious of their relationship as the hotel was their regular meeting point.That was why they invited the police who caught them in the act and arrested them.They were taken to the police station,when the police found out that Alex was the son of a prominent Delta State politician and influential Businessman,James Ebeye.
Both of them was later released,but not after George was several beaten by the police on the orders of James Ebeye.
It was also gathered that years later Alex,who was in University of Benin invited George Benin City,that was when their relationship blossomed,until Febuary 25,2013 when Alex was arrested by the police.
Since the arrest of Alex,the whereabouts of George Edobor is unknown.
