Wonder they say shall never end and its clear we are in the end time according to the scripture as an elder of Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Minister Church (LCCMC) has been arrested for homosexuality while his lover an Usher in same Church declared wanted by Edo State Police Command for his involvement in the act which is purnishable by law with a 14 years jail term if found guilty.
The respected elder of the said Church Elder Monye Samuel Chukwuka and his lover an Usher, who is also his Personal Assistant (PA) Osayande Desmond Osaretin were arrested in the act of homosexuality right in the Church to the dismay of other members who discribed their behavior as an abomination and sacrilegious.
The shameful act threw the Church and its environ into confusion and commotion as the respected Church elder was caught pant down having sex with his partner who is his PA, and Usher in his office in the Church located at No, 93 Ekenhuan Ogogubo road Benin City Edo State).
Elder Monye Samuel Chukwuka and his lover Osayande Desmond Osaretin has been involved in the secret act of homosexuality for long and kept it away from their families, friends and Church members until they were caught.
Luck ran out on the lovers on the 23rd of February 2014 when one of the youth pastor of the Church, Elvis Okoro walked into Elder Chukwuka’s office in the Church premises and met the shock of his life as he saw the elder having sex with Osayande Desmond Osaretin.
He raised an alarm which attracted members and other pastors to the scene in the Church premises as the lovers were seriously beaten for desecrating the Church to the disbelief of all.
He disclosed that he has suspected their closeness but one would never think such an abomination and shameful act will ever be done in the Church as both lovers have exhibited character of a good christian over the years and are role models to lots of members of the Church.
“This Church will never remain the same again following this discovery of homosexuality in the Church involving a well respected man of God and also a vibrant youths who before now was a role model to the Youths of the Church”.
Speaking on the development, a family member of Osaretin who does not want his name mentioned in print expressed dissatisfaction with the act involving his brother saying it has brought shame upon the family.
“Osayande Desmond Osaretin is a well brought up Christian who is just 35 years of age. He is very obideint, respectful and assist his parents at Ekiosa market in Benin City, Edo State. He never shown any traces of homosexuality and his character and behavior never sujected he was gay, so we never suspected him as he continued to exhibit good characters. We are shocked with the news of his involvement in the shameful and aborminable act.
“We are very disappointed for the behavior of Osayande Desmond Osaretin if this story is the truth, we are then confused about the whole issue, Knowing the Church would not lie against the duo but have not heard from him to hear his own side of the story”.
The said Elder Monye Samuel is already in police custody helping them with other useful and vital information to get to the bottom of the allegations.
“For Osayande Desmond Osaretin, we were told by the police that he escaped on their way to the Police Station capitalizing on the commotion between the police and the angry mob who tried to set the lovers ablaze but didn’t succeed because the police stopped them. We have not heard from him since the incident, hoping that he has not been killed”.
Report had it that Elder Monye Samuel Chukwuka has been charged to Court as he will appear in court on 26th March 2014. If he is found guilty of the crime will spend the next 14 years behind bars as the law stipulates.
The investigating police officer (IPO) Inspector Kingsley Osadolor said search is on to arrest Osayande Desmond Osaretin whose statement is important to get to the conclusion of Police investigation.
The whereabouts of Osayande Desmond Osaretin is yet unknown to hear his own side of the story as Elder Monye Samuel Chukwuka has explained to the police his level of involvement.
